Following on from the success of his debut album, "Keepie Uppies'' finds Diesler branching out to collaborate with more musicians and vocalists; turning in a number of songs as well as his trademark dancefloor rockers. As we've all come to expect from Tru Thoughts artists, there's a real fusion of sounds going on here: Brazilian, Cuban, funk, Latin, soul and jazz, all fused together with a 21st Century sound.
Amongst the vocal collaborations are tracks with 'Joseph Malik" ("Compost") and Southampton's 'Laura Vane" (who is currently recording with "MJ Cole".
Press reactions:
"Diesler's trademark blend of Cuban, funk, Latin and soul is as strong as it was on his debut album, but he's raised the bar to produce an even more enjoyable album. Fans of Quantic, Nightmares On Wax and Bonobo should really dig this. Easily my album of the month. 4.5 out of 5" Notion Magazine
"Great for dropping in at parties." DJ Food, Ninja Tune
"Another badboy from the Tru Thoughts stable has shown a hard work ethic really pays off. Deep down and funky jazz with beats and some ace porn sax." Blowback Magazine
"A polished set of tracks that really lets his creativity shine through. Diesler has become a firm fave with all the top DJs, Scruff, Peterson, Food, Monk One and indeed us, and rightly so. The man has beats flooding through his fingers and dancefloors the world over are lovin' it." Jelly Jazz
"Infectiously enjoyable." The Big Chill
